Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020: Everything you need to know to score the best deals

Between Nordstrom’s clearance sale and designer clearance, there are many deals to be had. And even better, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, one of the retailer’s largest blowouts of the year, is almost here.
This year, Canadians get to share in the markdowns too. For the first time ever, the Anniversary Sale is coming to Canada, too, which you can shop at Nordstrom.ca.
Looking forward to it? No matter where you’re browsing from, here’s everything you need to know.
What’s with all the hype?
Well, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale offers rock bottoms prices on new arrivals from top-performing brands (think: Zella and PAIGE).
If you wish to have first dibs on sale items, you can apply for a Nordstrom credit card and unlock Early Access - a major advantage to have if you plan on checking off a few boxes on your wish list.
No worries if you end up with buyer’s regret - free shipping and returns are available as well.
When does it start?
All Nordy Club members (with a Nordstrom credit card) can shop with Early Access on Aug. 13.
At 9:30 a.m. EST/6:30 a.m. PST on Aug.19, the Anniversary Sale opens up to all shoppers — and runs until August 30.
You can also shop the sale in open stores during normal business hours, starting at the same time.
For the best bargains, be sure to browse before Aug. 31 - that’s when prices go up.
Can I get a sneak peek?
Would it be a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale if you couldn’t?
Starting July 24, you can preview the selection early (make sure to check back here for details!). That way, check out is quick and easy.
If you’re a cardmember with Icon, Ambassador or Influencer status, you get even more time to shop Early Access. It’s simple: the higher your status, the earlier you shop.
To top things off, use a Personal Double Points Day to earn two times the points on any day you choose.
Will things sell out?
Yes. Yes they will.
During past years, many items have sold out before they’re even available to the general public — so if there’s something you really want, we suggest you act fast!
