Melania Trump wore this $10,000 Michael Kors suit — but did she buy it herself?
On Tuesday night, Melania Trump rocked a sequined black Michael Kors power suit while her husband made his first speech to a joint session of Congress — the 3D floral-embellished pebble-crepe dinner jacket and matching skirt cost a whopping $9,590 (and had the Internet comparing the First Lady to a famous 1980s soap opera character).

Kors is a longtime Hillary Clinton supporter, he’s donated to her campaign over the years and awarded her the first-ever Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service. That naturally had people wondering whether the designer dressed the First Lady.

But on Wednesday, the designer politely suggested that he didn’t dress Melania:
“Mrs. Trump has been a longtime client at our New York boutique. She has a keen understanding of what works best for her and her lifestyle. My embroidered black suit reflects the streamlined glamour that she is known for.”
This isn’t the first time the FLOTUS was seen in Kors garb. During a trip to the voting booth on election day, she stunned in a sleeveless white Michael Kors dress and she donned white, wide-legged silhouette Kors pants while meeting with Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe earlier this month.
