Nelly Furtado falls on stage at Coachella while performing 'Eat Your Man'
"Literally left it all on the stage… including my blood," she wrote, showing off her new injury.
Nelly Furtado won’t let one slipup ruin her 2024 Coachella experience.
The 45-year-old pop singer had joined Dom Dolla for his Saturday night set to perform their 2023 single, “Eat Your Man,” when she took a tumble on stage. But even before she was back on her feet, Furtado hit her notes.
Fans could hear the thump from her microphone as Furtado hit the ground, yet she was quick to not only pick herself up, but to raise the mic in time to continue the verse.
In multiple videos shared on social media, she is shown singing "movin' my body like a nympho" right before stumbling. Quickly after, Furtado laughed it off, continued with, “I say it right, now do what I say,” and got back up. Fans voiced concern for the "I'm Like a Bird" singer online, and she posted a video to her Instagram Story presenting her new injury.
The video opens on a close-up of her bloodied thumb before zooming out to show Furtado still smiling. "This Barbie likes to rave,” she jokes, giving a thumbs-up with the finger and then bursting into laughter.
She captioned the post: “Literally left it all on the stage… including my blood.”
Furtado also reposted a video of her fall, with a few words of wisdom for her followers. “Eat your man…" she wrote, "not the stage.”
This year, Coachella headliners include Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, Doja Cat, and No Doubt, back for a highly anticipated reunion with frontwoman Gwen Stefani. Dom Dolla was one of many acts who performed on Saturday, along with Blur, Ice Spice, Vampire Weekend, Bleachers, Grimes, and the beloved '90s rock band Sublime.
