The Duchess of Sussex is known for her influential style, whether she's stepping out in glamorous evening gowns or keeping things casual in jeans and a button-up.
While not all of her fashion choices are attainable for everyone (we're looking at you, custom designer pantsuits) the mom of two still loves to incorporate some affordable styles into her everyday wardrobe.
Case in point: one of her go-to pairs of sunglasses, the Le Specs Bandwagon Sunglasses (shop them in Canada here, shop them in the U.S. here) actually retail for $100 CAD/$69 USD.

The details
Le Specs is an Australian brand that was founded on the principle of creating avant-garde, high-quality designs at attainable prices. Le Specs have graced the famous faces of stars like Beyoncé, Bella Hadid, Rihanna and Lady Gaga, while maintaining a price tag of less than $150.
The 1950s-inspired Bandwagon sunglasses feature a matte tortoiseshell finish and a glare-reducing polarized lens with 100 per cent UV protection.
The 40-year-old royal has been photographed with her trusty pair of Le Specs frames since 2018. In July 2019, Markle wore the Bandwagon shades while she attended the Women’s Singles Final at Wimbledon alongside her sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
After seeing the stylish Duchess rocking the affordable sunglasses, I was inspired to pick up a pair for myself last year — and they don't disappoint.
For years I'd been wearing my trusted Ray Ban Classic Wayfarer sunglasses, but was looking for a new pair with a more rounded shape. The Le Specs pair perfectly suited the style I was going for, and it didn't hurt they they are also about half the price of a pair of Ray-Bans.
When I went on a recent beach vacation, I brought along my pair of Le Specs and wore them just about every single day.
The frames are lightweight enough that I basically forgot I was wearing them most of the time, and they did a great job at shielding my eyes from the harsh Florida sun.
Personally, I think that the rounded frames are a flattering shape that would work well on most faces, and the neutral tortoiseshell print pairs well with just about any outfit.
The only downside to these frames is that they came with just a canvas carrying case. Because of that, you'll want to be gentle if you do plan on keeping them inside a backpack or purse, to make sure that they don't accidentally get crushed.
What others are saying
While these sunglasses have already been given the royal seal of approval, Nordstrom shoppers have also been impressed with their lightweight construction and affordable price tag.
"GREAT buy! You cannot beat the price. Fantastic quality for far less than what I paid for my old Ray-Bans or Tiffany sunglasses" wrote one reviewer. "They feel sturdy and they are polarized! Also, I usually have a difficult time finding shades that fit my narrow face and these were perfect."
"I'm the type of person who is constantly misplacing/losing my glasses to a body of water, so these are nice glasses for running around. I highly recommend hopping on the Bandwagon," shared another.
Some reviewers have cautioned that they noticed the mini logos that are found on the arms "get caught on your hair," which docked a few points for the functionality of these sunnies. I have shorter hair and didn't have any issues with it catching, but it may be something to consider before adding this pair to your cart.
The verdict
If you're a fan of the royals and are looking for an affordable way to incorporate some of their style into your own wardrobe, the Le Specs Bandwagon sunglasses are an easy addition to your closet.
The lightweight frames deliver polarized lenses at a wallet-friendly price tag, with a versatile design that can be worn on repeat. Some shoppers weren't a fan of the metal accents on the arms, but on the whole these affordable sunglasses make for a great buy this spring.
