Martha Stewart, 83, shares her $374 makeup routine — and it's 'easier than making a pot of soup'
The entrepreneur shared the secret behind her "good skin" and reminisced about her early modelling days in a new video.
Martha Stewart just shared her five-minute makeup routine and according to the 83-year-old business tycoon, it's "easier than making a pot of soup." On Sept. 30, the entrepreneur, cookbook author and "Snoop's friend," shared her quick-and-easy beauty routine in an Instagram video with Merit while dressed in a plush white bathrobe.
"Hi, I'm Martha Stewart. You might know me as Snoop's friend, you know, his cohort at the Olympics," she said. "You might know he's afraid of horses and that I ride horses. Well, I'm also Martha Stewart."
The lifestyle mogul began the video by applying Merit's perfecting complexion stick, The Minimalist, in the shade chiffon overtop the Great Skin Instant Glow Serum and Great Skin Priming Moisturizer.

"I love everything that I've done in my life pretty much, except getting divorced," she told the camera. "I actually started modelling when I was a very young girl. Fifteen dollars an hour, which was a lot better than the fifty cents I was making as a babysitter."
While applying the brand's Bronze Balm to the apples of her cheeks, Stewart recounted how she "grew up [as] one of six children" and acted as a "second mother to the rest of the kids."
"[My] mom taught me how to sew, how to cook," she said. "I was like the little mother."

In addition to her Merit makeup, the 83-year-old credited her "good skin" to growing her own vegetables.
"I live on a farm," she shared. "I grow all my own vegetables. I grow all the greens for my green juice, which I drink every single day, thus, good skin."
As for her mile-long lashes, Stewart shared that she "loves" mascara and admitted that since she has "nice long eyelashes," she "[likes] to show them off."
"I remember my daughter telling me, 'Mom, please don't embarrass me, please, when you leave the house, don't wear your apron, and please, put a little bit of makeup on your face.'" she said while showing off her finished look. "And I did that in under five minutes — easier than making a pot of soup."
