Blogger Chris Spags claims he is being “cyber-bullied” by Rihanna fans after he wrote a controversial blog post essentially fat-shaming the singer.
The post, titled “Is Rihanna Going To Make Being Fat The Hot New Trend?” was published to Barstool Sports on Tuesday and questioned Rihanna’s weight after photos of her surfaced in New York over Memorial Day weekend.
“But it looks to me like Rihanna is rocking some new high key thickness,” Spags wrote in his post, alongside pics of the gorgeous singer in trendy ripped jeans, a blue shirt and white Balenciaga booties — in solidarity with other sites, we’ll spare you the link.
“And based on what I’ve seen, that means it’s time to worry if you’re not a guy who fancies himself a chubby chaser,” he added.

He then suggests Rihanna is “pushing 180” and claims her influence is so huge that a world of ladies “shaped like the Hindenburg” and “loaded into one-piece bathing suits” may be on the horizon now that she’s walking around “like she’s in a sumo suit.” He ends his post by posting photos of Rihanna from her “glory days.”
“Here’s hoping she’s just pregnant, happens to the best of us,” he ends his rant, before sharing the story on Twitter.

Unsurprisingly, fans (and uh, humans in general) weren’t pleased.
Don't you ever put "Rihanna" and "fat" in the same sentence unless there is a "not" in between pic.twitter.com/5ztnHEwoX5
