Is this $44 bag *actually* worth the hype? Keep reading to find out.
Lululemon has tons of sporty and functional bag options — but none are nearly as popular as the Everywhere Belt Bag, a.k.a. the viral phenomenon. Retailing for $44, the bag has been a consistent bestseller and frequently sells out on a weekly basis whenever new colours and patterns are released. You've likely seen them in the wild yourself, and if you're curious whether it's worth getting one for yourself or your loved ones, I've got you covered. I finally bought one and tested it out, so you don't have to! Keep scrolling to reveal my honest thoughts.
💵 Price: $44
⏰ Used for: Two months
⭐ My rating: 3.5/5
🛍️ Reasons to buy: This belt bag is popular for a reason — it's easy to grab and go, with room for your everyday essentials. Plus it comes in a constantly rotating range of colours and patterns.
✋ Reasons to avoid: Maximalists will want to steer clear of this belt bag. While it's more spacious than it looks, there's not much room for anything besides your phone and a small wallet.
Lululemon's most popular belt bag is available in multiple colours.
Why you need it
Lululemon's Everywhere Belt Bag is made from water-repellant fabric, and is the perfect size for everyday use. It measures just 7.5" x 2" x 5" — a perfect size for running errands, bringing to the airport and hitting the trails.
The belt bag features an exterior zippered pocket and mesh interior pockets to keep you organized. And if pink isn't your style, you can also shop this belt bag in tons of other colours.
Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag: What fits? Editor's honest review
After months of seeing the Everywhere Belt Bag literally everywhere, I caved and bought one for myself. However, since buying it, I will say that I've used it less than I thought I would, mainly because I'm not the lightest packer in the world.
Usually when I head out, I have my wallet, phone, keys and what I like to call my "emergency pouch" with me at all times. While the emergency pouch isn't very big (it's where I keep essentials like pain and allergy medication, bandages, lip balm and my Epi-Pen on hand), unfortunately the 1L Everywhere Belt Bag doesn't have room for all of my must-haves.
It's great for a quick grab and go if I'm walking the dog or just going for a trip around the neighbourhood without my wallet, but in my opinion, the Everywhere Belt Bag is truly for the minimalists out there. For everyday wear I prefer using one of Lululemon's larger crossbody bags instead, since it has more pockets to keep me organized.
If I were to buy another one of these belt bags, I'd probably find the Everywhere Belt Bag Large 2L better suited to my needs.
Why shoppers love it
Ever since bursting onto the scene a few years ago, Lululemon's viral belt bag has been spotted just about everywhere: on social media, at airports, the grocery store and beyond. It's also racked up more than 22,000 customer reviews and an impressive 4.6-star average rating.
Lululemon's most popular belt bag is available in multiple colours.
One shopper, who describes the Everywhere bag as "durable and versatile," calls it a "stylish" accessory for those wanting to keep their wallet and keys close by. "I [use it] for travelling," and it's "really functional," they write.
It's the "perfect" crossbody bag, echoes another. A "must-add to your collection."
A third Lululemon shopper says the Everywhere Belt Bag "changed everything."
"I absolutely love this bag," they say. "It can fit all my necessities inside and more. [...] The fabric is a great material; when it gets dirty, it can be wiped right off. The Belt Bag matches all my outfits and makes it so I don't have to carry a large purse everywhere."
Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag: What's the verdict?
Dubbed the "perfect" on-the-go bag by Lululemon shoppers, the brand's Everywhere Belt Bag has become one of the internet's most sought-after bags. However, If you're like me and often leave home with more than just your phone, cards and keys, you might find this bag to be too small for your needs.
