Lila Moss proudly displays her glucose monitor in stunning new fashion campaign
Lila Moss doesn't let her type 1 diabetes dampen her modelling career.
Earlier this week, the 19-year-old daughter of British supermodel Kate Moss took to Instagram to share her new ad campaign for Fendi’s collaboration with Versace.
In the photo, Moss wore a white a pink printed dress and black and gold sandals, and carried a miniature handbag. The teen also sported her glucose monitor — a device used to manage her diabetes by measuring the amount of sugar in her blood.
Although Moss did not reference her medical hardware in the caption of the post, fans praised the model for bringing visibility and awareness to the condition and for representing the diabetic community.
"Thank you for showing your libre, it means a lot for the type 1 community," one person commented, referring to the brand of Moss’ device.
"You are beautiful and such a role model for people living with this disease," said another.
"I love that high-fashion is willing to show your monitor. Yay for representation!" wrote a follower.

Moss spoke about her condition in 2020, telling The Kit that not many people would think she lives with type 1 diabetes.
"It's not visible from the outside, so no one would really know just by looking at you,” she said.
As Moss's fashion career has grown, so has the opportunity to show off her medical equipment in a search for visibility. In September 2021, she walked the catwalk for the "Fendance" fashion show, proudly wearing her insulin pump in her while modelling a stunning cream and gold swimsuit and cropped jacket.
She later told British Vogue that the opportunity to wear her pump on the runway "was epic."
The look received an outburst of support from fans living with the disease, calling her "beautiful and brave."
"As a fellow type 1, you are an absolute queen," commented a happy fan. "It's inspiring to see this on the runways.
"Thank you for this! Words can not express how much this means to me," said another. "I appreciate how you're bringing awareness to type 1."
"Beautiful and brave. Thank you for helping to remove the stigma of wearing a device!" a follower wrote .
