Khloe Kardashian slammed for wearing 'love thy racist neighbour' T-shirt
Khloé Kardashian is facing backlash after sporting a T-shirt that rubbed fans the wrong way.
Earlier this week, the 34-year-old reality star uploaded a photo to her Instagram stories encouraging her followers to “Love thy neighbour,” including those who are racist.
“Love is the only cure,” Kardashian wrote above an image of a shirt that read, “Love thy neighbour” whether they’re homeless, muslim, black, gay, white, Jewish, Christian, Atheist, racist or addicted.

Although the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star likely had good intentions, she was immediately called out for seemingly tolerate hate.
“I KNOW Khloe Kardashian didn’t just tell me to love my homeless neighbour and my racist neighbour all in one post,” one Twitter user wrote. “This year for real ain’t her year, huh?”

Others called Kardashian out for not recognizing her own privilege and interjecting herself into a conversation about racism, especially after she has been accused of appropriating black culture in the past.

Twitter users also pointed out how Kardashian’s daughter, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson, has been subjected to racist comments online.

But fans were quick to come to the star’s defense, suggesting there’s more to the shirt’s message than meets the eye.
Because people can change. You love the person and not the act. If you hate a racist person then there is little to no opportunity for outreach, education or change. Approaching something with love allows for forgiveness and growth. Once again, quit being reactive… pic.twitter.com/aFgkB7MeSn
