KFC Just Launched a New Version of a Fan-Favorite Menu Item

Did you know there’s a National Dessert Day? It falls each year on Oct. 14. This year, it falls on a Monday, giving everyone the perfect excuse to indulge in something sweet to cure a case of the Mondays.
You could make a dessert at home, but sometimes it’s hard to find baking motivation on a Monday night after you’ve gotten home from work. KFC understands, and on Oct. 14, it’s debuting a new flavor of its Pie Poppers—warm, miniature pie snacks that you can pop right in your mouth, available in a pack of four or 10.
KFC’s New Cherry Pie Popper
KFC is best known for its finger-lickin’ good fried chicken pieces, nuggets, sandwiches, and wraps, plus comfort food sides, but it does have desserts such as brownies and a chocolate chip cake on the menu to round out your order.
Earlier this year, the fast food restaurant added Apple Pie Poppers to its offerings, and now it’s adding an additional flavor—cherry. The new bite-sized Poppers are filled with warm cherry pie filling and wrapped in a buttery, flaky crust. They’re a just-the-right size treat to finish off lunch or dinner. The addition of Cherry Pie Poppers to KFC’s dessert menu puts it in competition with Arby’s Turnovers which also come in apple and cherry, but KFC is giving fans an incentive to choose its Poppers on National Dessert Day.
