It's been reported that Kate actually opted to do her own makeup on the big day, although the royal worked with celebrity makeup artist, Hannah Martin, who was on hand to help her perfect the look. She chose to go with a soft smokey eye and flushed cheeks to complement the soft nude pink lip and enhance her natural features.
In one TikTok video, makeup influencer Alissia C. calls the soft pink lipstick shade "the perfect pinky-nude" as it leaves her lips with a wash of soft pink colour. She also mentions that it has a "frosty-like shiny finish."
Trying Kate Middleton's reported wedding day lipstick
Kate looked radiant on her wedding day, in which she sported a soft glam look that highlighted her natural beauty. After learning that Bobbi Brown's Sandwash Pink was reportedly Kate Middleton's wedding day lipstick, I knew I had to try it for myself.
The Bobbi Brown lip colour in Sandwash Pink is described as being beige-pink in tone. It's also part of the brand's iconic creamy, semi-matte lipstick line and comes in a luxe all-black and gold component.
After seeing the lip colour in person, it's definitely a pinky-nude shade that looks as if it leans more towards being on the pink side.
I was intrigued to see if this lip colour would look as good on me as it supposedly did on Kate Middleton, so I decided to put it to the test.
This lipstick is known for being full coverage, so I applied one swipe of the lip colour to the top and bottom of my lips. I then compared the shade in both direct sunlight and natural light.
After testing the lip colour on myself, I can confirm that it is a beautiful "your lips but better" shade. I could see why Kate Middleton might opt to wear this lipstick for a soft, natural look.
Not only does it feel extremely comfortable when applied, but it's a great everyday lip colour that will compliment any skin tone.
Verdict
While we may never know for sure if it's the colour that the Princess of Wales chose for her wedding day, Bobbi Brown's lip colour in Sandwash Pink is a must-try.
After personally testing out the lipstick on my own complexion, I can confidently say I am a fan of this shade! Not only is it a beautiful "your lips but better" colour (perfect for everyday wear), but one swipe is also all you need because it offers full-coverage colour.
Overall, I loved how the creamy, semi-matte nude-pink lipstick enhanced my natural lip colour. If you're in the market for a nude-pink lipstick to add to your makeup collection, Bobbi Brown's Sandwash Pink is a worth adding to cart.
