Jessica Chastain is a ‘literal icon’ in bubblegum-pink pantsuit
Jessica Chastain is entering her chic boss era.
The 45-year-old “Molly’s Game” and “Zero Dark Thirty” actress showed up in New York City on Thursday evening dressed in a bubblegum-pink pantsuit with a white buttoned shirt, plain black untied tie and timeless black heels.
Los Angeles-based red carpet stylist Elizabeth Stewart put together the film star’s outfit. Makeup artist Matin Maulawizada gave Chastain a luminous blush pink look, while celebrity hairstylist Anh Co Tran put her fiery red locks into a natural bun.
“OMW [on my way] to tickle some earlobes,” Chastain joked in an Instagram post she made on Friday featuring the look.
Fans filled the comments of the actress’s Instagram post with love and adoration for her look and beauty.
“A literal icon,” one person raved.
“The prettiest of all,” another replied.
“We’re obsessed with you! You’re gorgeous,” someone commented.
“Boss lady,” one fan said.
“Jessica Chastain supremacy,” another commenter added.
On Thursday, Chastain was attending a special screening and conversation event of HBO’s “Scenes From a Marriage” at Manhattan’s The 92nd Street Y, where she was reunited with the cast and creators of the limited series.
Chastain’s castmate, 43-year-old Oscar Isaac, was among those who were in attendance. The “Dune” star looked ravishing in a dark grey double-breasted suit with a navy blue shirt.
The duo, who share a 20-year friendship and even studied together at The Juilliard School in New York City, star in “Scenes From a Marriage” as a couple who faces a crumbling marriage.
In October, the stars expressed they were worried about risking their long-term friendship while shooting scenes for the series.
Chastain claimed shooting later episodes of the series was “difficult and quite painful” because the “deep love” she shares with Isaac became “very complex and difficult to navigate.”
But having that deep connection and years-long friendship only seemed to help the actors in their performances.
“It was a raw shoot for both of us and thank goodness our friendship is OK and we keep talking and our families have vacationed together and spent a lot of time together,” Chastain noted.
“But while we were shooting it, at the very beginning, I looked right at him and I said, ‘Are we going to be friends after this?’ Because it felt way too upsetting and too intense. But I’m very happy to say that we are still very good friends," the actress added.
Chastain is coming off her first-ever Academy Award win, where she snagged the Best Lead Actress title in March for her performance in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye.”
