Canadian actress Jennifer Finnigan shares 'adorable' mother-daughter photos: 'Twins'
Jennifer Finnigan and her mom are "twinning."
The Canadian "Moonshine" actress took to Instagram with a series of mother-daughter selfies taken on a beach in Nova Scotia. She paired the stunning photos with a heartfelt note about her mom and expressed her gratitude for their relationship.
The 43-year-old began by saying that the dynamic between her and her mother hasn't always been "smooth sailing," but overcoming that has helped them learn from each other.
"Mama love!" Finnigan penned. "Look at my gorgeous mum. Inside and out. For such a tiny human, she has the biggest heart.
"It wasn’t always smooth sailing for us," she continued. "We’re extremely different people, and often it was like we both spoke a different language. Like we couldn’t quite understand each other."
"But life goes by, and you begin to see that those differences are in fact beautiful, and help you learn from each other," she continued.
Finnigan added that all meaningful relationships come with some adversities.
"No worthwhile relationship doesn’t have its complexities," she wrote. "And those are always the most rewarding. I’m so grateful for the depth of love and respect and laughter we share. Love you mum!"
The "Salvation" actress's mom-appreciation post was met with praise from fans who pointed out the likeness between Finnigan and her mother.
"Your mom really said copy and paste!" an Instagram user joked. "Twinning beauties!"
"OMG more like twins. She really cloned herself! This is adorable," a fan shared.
Another person wrote: "So true! Such a beautiful sentiment about relationships and such a lovely testament about both of you that you worked hard through the challenges and differences."
"You are both so beautiful! What a beautiful acknowledgment of your relationship," someone added.
"I love this!" commented another.
This past August, the Montreal-born actress honoured her ongoing time in Nova Scotia where she's been filming CBC's original dramedy "Moonshine," with an ode to the Maritime province on Instagram.
"A love letter to summers in Nova Scotia," the "Bold and the Beautiful" star captioned a carousel of photos of her and her family biking, canoeing and enjoying the sunsets.
