Jamie Otis is reminding fans to take care of their skin.
The "Married At First Sight" star, 36, recently took to Instagram to share a video of herself having an "interesting" mole biopsied.
"I came in for rosacea. I did not come in for moles," she said in an Instagram Reel.
"Friendly reminder to stay out of the sun, use your sunscreen, and go get your moles checked!" she added, showing off the bandaid used during her biopsy.
In the caption, Otis detailed her trip to the dermatologist for her 845,000 followers — and doubled down on the importance of sun safety.
"Went to the dermatologist to get help with my middle-age rosacea issues and left with a little chunk of my foot out," she penned. "I had a few 'interesting' moles that need watching, but apparently the little mole on my foot looked bad enough to biopsy."
"Skin cancer is preventable and can be treated if caught early," she wrote.
In the comments, fans sent Otis their well-wishes and thanked her for raising awareness.
"So important to get skin checked!" one fan commented, while another added, "Ah! That's so scary. I hope it's nothing and if it's something, you recover quickly! Thank you for your honesty as usual. I needed this reminder!"
"Hope all goes well with your results!" an Instagram user wrote.
"My husband has many many moles and has to get checked yearly," someone else shared. "Thank you for putting the awareness out there."
Another added: "I appreciate this reminder!"
In December, Otis shared a video with her Instagram followers opening up about not feeling her "prettiest lately," as she and her husband Doug Hehner try "for another baby."
"I haven't felt my prettiest lately," she captioned a clip of herself lip-synching to "Pretty's On The Inside" by Gathoni Da Diva, while showing the difference between a beauty filter and reality. "Not just my appearance, but my overall vibe."
"Everywhere I turn I'm told that because I'm 36 I'll be having a 'geriatric pregnancy," she explained. "It doesn't help with the not feeling so pretty, either."
"This reel is such a good reminder that behind the Instagram filters, ain't no one lookin' that polished and perfect in real life!" Otis continued. "And that's OK! We are beautiful. Life is messy and complicated, but it is truly beautiful."
The reality star has also previously opened up about her medical experiences. She's been open with fans about her fertility struggles, as well as her son's seizures. She also opened up about her experience with HPV and the importance of regular pap smears.
