HGTV Star Jasmine Roth Thanks Fans for Support After "Dramatic" Childbirth

On September 7, Darla Rose entered the world. She's baby number two for the Help! I Wrecked My House host Jasmine Roth and husband Brett Roth, and she's as precious as can be. "Darla Rose Roth was born weighing 4 lbs. 8 oz. and she immediately filled a corner of my heart that I didn’t know was empty," Roth wrote in an essay on People.com.

Coming a month earlier than expected, Roth described the birth as a "terrifying" experience. While she and her husband were out to dinner for their anniversary, her contractions began. They hurried to the hospital, but the one road to get there was blocked with traffic. Roth wrote, "The 911 operator told my husband... chances are he was going to deliver the baby right there in our car on the side of the road." Luckily an ambulance arrived, Roth made it to the hospital, and almost immediately gave birth.

"After 2 weeks in the NICU, we are home and happy. Can’t wait to share more," Roth wrote on Instagram. Her followers were quick to jump in with congratulations.

"Aww! Congratulations Mom and Dad! Welcome to the world Precious Darla," one wrote.

"Congrats for the baby ❤️ She is as beautiful as her sister and she lived so many adventures in her belly that she wanted to leave faster to participate with you! kiss in the family," another added.

Jasmine gave fans another update after Darla was home, and shared a sweet video with the baby. She took the opportunity to thank all of the family and friends to them them for their support in the wake of Darla's "dramatic" arrival. Jasmine says, We just wanted to say thank you...it's been a whirlwind. If you read the birth story, you know that it was zero chill. Zero zen. It was not what any of us were expecting. But it worked out for the best, and we are so happy to be home. We are so grateful for all of the support, so I just wanted to say thank you."

From Darla Rose's birth and announcing the return for the fifth season of Help! I Wrecked My House, the family has much to celebrate.
