It's here! Rivals has officially landed on our TV screens as of today (18th October) and we can finally dive fully into the world of Jilly Cooper. And crucially what else do you need to know about it? Consider this your 101 on all things Rivals.

What is Rivals?

Rivals is an eight-part series based on Jilly Cooper's best selling novel of the same name. Starring David Tennant and Alex Hassell, the series centres on the world of independent TV in the late 1980s and the fierce rivalry between TV station controller Tony Baddingham (Tennant) and former Olympic horse-rider and Conservative MP Rupert Campbell-Black (Hassell). As the tension between them rises, everyone is after a slice of power and no one knows who will end up on top.
