Hedgehog Sniffs Around a Mickey Mouse Jack-O-Lantern as Animals at Disney World Enjoy Pumpkins — WATCH
Creatures large and small got to play with and nibble on pumpkins at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando
Visitors and animal lovers alike will find no tricks, just treats, at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The keepers at Disney's Animal Nutrition Center are especially busy this time of year as they prep and carve pumpkins for the animals to celebrate Halloween with a themed enrichment experience.
At Animal Kingdom in Orlando, all creatures large and small got to play with, nibble on and even smash pumpkins. In a fun video, a hedgehog could be seen sniffing a pumpkin with a Mickey Mouse-shaped cutout, while a tortoise bites down a mini pumpkin with a spooky carving.

Another moment features elephants picking up the gourds with their nose and placing them in their mouths for a fall snack. A bird pecks on one pumpkin that has two little pumpkins attached to the top of it to make it look like a Mickey Mouse head and ears.
A pumpkin with skeleton hands carved into it shaped like a heart is inspected by a curious lemur, showing off the details and care the keepers put into decorating the pumpkins.

Other animals eat food out of their pumpkin, which is the perfect seasonal treat. Disney World has given their animals pumpkins for enrichment in the past, a fun annual tradition that is equal parts cute, festive and delicious for all.
The enrichment provided to the creatures throughout Disney World is key for "promoting good digestive health and encouraging natural behaviors and instincts in their habitats," a rep for Disney tells PEOPLE.

The Animal Nutrition Center prepares customized diets every day for over 5,000 birds, mammals, reptiles and fish at Disney World, handling over 10,000 lbs of food daily. They look after 300 different species at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, EPCOT’s The Seas with Nemo & Friends and the Tri-Circle-D Ranch.
They make sure every animal is given the highest quality nutrition possible — and aren't afraid to have a little seasonal fun when it comes to enrichment.
