Hailey Bieber's beauty brand Rhode just dropped a new product: My honest review
I tried every product from Hailey Bieber's skincare line, including the brand's new hydrating essence.

When it comes to celebrity beauty brands, I approach them all with a healthy dose of skepticism. Sure it's the latest trendy way for celebs to monetize their personal brand, but does any of their skincare, makeup or haircare actually work?
I'm here to tell you that at least one of them does in fact live up to the hype: Enter, Hailey Bieber's skincare brand Rhode.
Over the past couple of months, I've incorporated the brand's entire collection of products into my daily routine, and I can confidently say my skin has never looked better.
The breakdown
Since March, I've been using the complete Rhode Kit, which contains all of the brand's products: the Barrier Restore Cream, Peptide Glazing Fluid, and three Peptide Lip Treatments in Unscented, Salted Caramel and Watermelon.

Glazing Milk

Would I buy it again: Yes, but probably only in the winter.
Billed as a "potent, nutrient-rich complex that boosts barrier function and leaves skin feeling hydrated," Glazing Milk has a unique, milky texture that feels soothing on the skin. It's recommended to apply in the morning and at night after cleansing, but before serums and moisturizers in order to add an extra dose of hydration to skin.
Since I don't suffer from very dry skin, I found using this facial essence twice a day to be a bit overkill, as it can be a bit heavy-feeling when paired with the other Rhode products. However, I did enjoy using them all together at night, as my bedroom can get quite dry with the A/C running. I'd say the Glazing Milk is a nice addition to the rest of the Rhode products, but probably not a must-have unless you need the extra moisture in your skincare routine.
Peptide Glazing Fluid

Would I buy it again: Yes.
Despite the buzzy name, this product is essentially a lightweight, hydrating serum. It features ingredients like niacinamide to reduce redness and breakouts, and hyaluronic acid and marula oil to hydrate and soften skin and achieve Bieber's signature "glazed donut" glow.
While the brand says it can be used on its own or mixed into your other go-to makeup or skincare, I've been sticking with applying it directly onto my skin morning and night after cleansing, and following it up with moisturizer.
The unscented serum provides a subtle sheen to your skin (perfect for a glowy finish), and absorbs quickly. It's also helped calm down the redness I get on my nose, and has helped cut down on breakouts and uneven skin tone. I love the look of a dewy finish, but if you have oily skin or prefer a matte look, you'll want to steer clear of this serum.
Barrier Restore Cream

Would I buy it again: Yes.
This unscented cream is formulated with shea butter and squalane to lock in moisture, as well as antioxidants derived from açai.
Full disclosure, my skin definitely is on the drier side, so take my review with a grain of salt if you have oily skin. For that reason, I'm a fan of the rich texture of this cream that manages to be hydrating without feeling too heavy. A little of it goes a long way too, as I only use a pea-sized amount for my whole face after applying the Peptide Glazing Fluid.
Worn on its own, this moisturizer gives skin a hydrated and refreshed look. However, when paired with the Peptide Glazing Fluid, you'll be left with the perfect "glazed donut" look that lasts all day.
Peptide Lip Treatment

Would I buy it again: It's nice, but probably not. At $24 for a lip balm, it's definitely on the pricey side.
Unlike Rhode's serum and moisturizer, you can shop three versions of the Peptide Lip Treatment: It's available unscented, as well as in watermelon and salted caramel scents. It gives lips a plump and hydrated effect without feeling sticky, and works just like a thick lip balm.
While I was a big fan of the non-sticky formula, at $24 CAD this lip treatment is a definite splurge. And as with many beauty products, the fragrances can be truly hit or miss depending on your personal preference. Personally, I loved the fresh and fruity watermelon scent, but wasn't a fan of the salted caramel, which I found to be too sweet and overpowering.
Final thoughts
Whether you want to take my word for it or not, Rhode definitely changed my mind about celebrity beauty brands. Each product lives up to its claims of providing hydration and glow to your skin, and are certainly effective enough that I would want to continue using them long term.
While the Peptide Lip Treatment may not become my go-to balm due to its hefty price tag, I'll definitely be keeping the serum and moisturizer on constant rotation in my skincare routine.
