Hailey Bieber hits back at online bully who said she looks 'like a man'
Trolls beware: Hailey Bieber sees everything you write about her.
Earlier this week, the 22-year-old was revealed as the face of Levi’s 501 jeans. Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) shared the news on Instagram, with a brief profile on the model, who was quoted as saying, “I’ve been wearing 501 cutoffs since I can remember… They make me feel like me.”
Levi Strauss and Co’s chief marketing officer Jenifer Sey, praised the pairing calling Bieber, “a real authentic fan” of the brand.

However the celebration was short-lived when Bieber took to Instagram to call out one of her critics, who said she looked, “[like] a man.”
“If I look like a guy,” the model clapped back, “then please explain to me what your idea of a female looks like?”
Bieber was immediately flooded by messages from fans, urging the blonde beauty not to pay attention to the critics.
“Don’t waste your time with these people, babe,” one follower wrote. “You’re beautiful and you know it. Haters gonna hate.”
“If you look like a man, I want to look as manly as you!” another replied.
Since her low-key nuptials to Justin Bieber last year, the model has been at the receiving end of plenty of online hate from her husband’s fans.
At one point, things had become so bad that Bieber admitted she takes breaks from social media to improve her mental health.

In a December 2018 Instagram post, Bieber wrote, “Being off Instagram is the best thing ever. Whenever I take breaks from it I feel so much better, so much [happier] a person...the second I come back on I get immediate anxiety, I get sad and I get worked up.”
“It’s hard to focus on your well-being and mental health when each time you open Instagram someone is tearing apart your job, or your relationship or essentially any of the things in your life that are positive…,” she continued. “I just don’t believe we’re called to live a life where we’re so easily caught up in [strangers’] opinions on something they have NOTHING to do with.”
Despite the backlash, Bieber says she does her best to rise above the negativity.

“We need to take a step back and realize we need to express more love and encouragement to one another instead of consistently tearing down people and judging. [sic] And I won’t let people make me feel Iike I’m doing something wrong by enjoying my life and being happy,” she said. “The world has enough hatred, hurt, and pain as it is, the last thing we need is more negativity, hate and division.”
