Goldfish Crackers Just Changed Its Name & Fans Say It's 'Genius'

Everyone's favorite fish-shaped, baked cheddar crackers are all grown up. They really do grow up fast, don't they?

Goldfish has just announced that it's embracing its more mature, sophisticated side with a fitting new name. As of today, Goldfish will now be known as Chilean Sea Bass crackers.

Not a big fan of the switch? Don't worry, the name change is only for a limited time.

Goldfish was encouraged to take on the new title as a playful reminder to adult snackers that they haven't forgotten about them.

And guess what? Gen Zers and Millennials are eating it up like a pack of Xtra Cheddar Flavor Blasted Goldfish. Goldfish's Instagram post announcing the switch to Chilean Sea Bass is flooded with comments from fans applauding the brand.

One user labeled the switch-up "genius" while another called it "adult sophistication at its finest."

"The sophistication is next level," read another comment.

Although you won't be able to buy a pack of the Chilean Sea Bass-branded crackers in stores, you can purchase them by visiting ChileanSeaBassCrackers.com. Fans can get their hands on two bags of crackers for $7.38, with inventory being updated daily.

In addition to taking on a temporary new name, Goldfish has used other tactics to remind adult fans that they're still a go-to choice, including add new flavors. Among the varieties created with grown folks in mind are Goldfish Old Bay Seasoned Crackers and Goldfish Frank’s RedHot Crackers. Fans can also look forward to the sweet return of Goldfish Elf Maple Syrup Flavored Grahams later this month.
