Golda Rosheuvel shares her 5 favourite small businesses in London
As we head into the season of gifting, it's the perfect time to consider supporting smaller, independent shops across the UK. Golda Rosheuvel, the actress best known for her starring roles in Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte, is uniquely placed to understand and champion these self-sufficient businesses, as the co-owner of the Oxfordshire-based Imma The Bakery, which was founded by her cousin.
"Small businesses bring so much diversity to our communities and are an important part of my life," Rosheuvel told us, adding that she herself has experienced being part of a "lovely community" through her work with Imma. “I am always inspired by the incredible energy and creativity that small and independent businesses create in the UK.”
It's for this reason that Rosheuvel has this year chosen to support the American Express Shop Small campaign, an initiative that has been running for more than a decade and aims to support independent businesses by encouraging shoppers back into physical stores. The actress also joins the judging panel for Champion Small, a new project inviting Amex Cardmembers to champion their favourite small businesses by nominating them for the chance to win one of 10 business grants worth £10,000.
Below, Rosheuvel shares her five favourite independent business in London – from a contemporary fashion hub to the first consciously queer intersectional bookshop.
