Emma Barrie is giving fans a glimpse of her wedding weekend with now-husband Tyson Barrie.
The wife of Victoria, B.C.-born Nashville Predators defenceman Tyson Barrie took to Instagram with a carousel of stunning photos from their waterfront wedding weekend last month in Victoria.
"Wedding weekend kickoff," she captioned the series of snaps of herself and her then-fiancé celebrating with their two-year-old son Leo and the rest of their wedding party.
For their pre-wedding celebration, the bride opted to wear a fitted white dress with a thigh-high slit and a lacy top, while the groom donned a clean white button-down shirt paired with beige pants.
Having previously played for the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche before making the move to Nashville, Barrie's wedding guest list was as star-studded as you might imagine.
Some of NHL's biggest names — and Barrie's closest friends — were in attendance, including Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, Mitch Marner, Zac Hyman, Darnell Nurse, Evan Bouchard, Luke Schenn, Kyle Turris and Nathan McKinnon. Even Ryan Reynolds was rumoured to have made an appearance.
The couple began dating back in 2016 and welcomed their first child together in July 2021, after announcing their engagement in December, 2020.
Congrats to Tyson & Emma on the announcement of their engagement! 💍
We'd also be remiss if we didn't acknowledge very good boy Ralph. 🐶 pic.twitter.com/Fe7a1J5zQ6— Edmonton Oilers (@EdmontonOilers) December 4, 2020
The Barries aren't the only NHL couple to seal the deal this summer. Last weekend, former Vancouver Canucks defenceman Ethan Bear married his longtime love, Lenasia Ned in a breathtaking ceremony held at the scenic 50th Parallel Estate Winery in Lake Country, B.C..
The Cree-Canadian athlete, who is currently an unrestricted free agent after a shoulder injury sidelined him, showcased his strong NHL network with a star-studded guest list including names like Mathew Barzal from the New York Islanders, Jujhar Khaira from the Chicago Blackhawks, Riley Stillman from the Buffalo Sabres, and Keegan Kolesar from the Vegas Golden Knights.
Toronto Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner also exchanged vows with his now-wife, Stephanie LaChance, at the Peller Estates winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont..
Like the Bears' and Barries' wedding guest list, the Marners' was one for the books.
Numerous Maple Leafs players, including Morgan Rielly, John Tavares, Auston Matthews and T.J. Brodie. Many former Maple Leafs and other NHL stars graced the event, such as Rasmus Sandin, James Van Riemsdyk, Joe Thornton, Zach Bogosian, Tyson Barrie and New York Islanders player Matthew Martin.
