Drake tells fans at Inglewood concert to 'keep your bras on': 'My son is at the show'
The Canadian rapper warned fans that his five-year-old son, Adonis Graham, was watching his show for the first time.
Drake is all about being a dad these days.
During his Saturday concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif., the first of four shows in the city on his It's All a Blur Tour, the rapper pleaded with fans to keep things respectful.
In a video posted on TikTok, the Toronto-born artist, 36, can be heard telling fans mid-show that his five-year-old son, Adonis Graham, was also in the crowd.
"Look, to be honest with you, I can't talk about titties tonight in L.A. because my son is at the show for the first time," the "Rich Flex" rapper said in the clip, before the crowd erupted in cheers. "So we've got to keep this real PG tonight. Y'all keep your bras on."
Some fans on social media played into the rapper's humour calling him "father of the year," but others were questioning the actions of recent concert-goers.
"He's so funny for no reason," someone penned on TikTok, along with a skull emoji.
"What if Drake is cappin' and just over them throwing bras up there," someone else joked.
"People throwing stuff on stage yet again. What's with this 'trend'?" one person asked on X (Twitter).
"Tryna keep his son's innocence for as long as possible lol," another X user added.
"People need to learn to have some decorum at these events," someone shared.
"That's the most sensible thing I ever heard that man say," someone else quipped.
Since kicking off his tour earlier in July in Chicago, the Canadian rapper — who's playing two shows in Toronto in October — has encountered many situations with excited fans while performing.
During his July 21 show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, a woman named Veronica Correia threw her 36G bra at Drake, prompting the rapper to say, "Locate this woman immediately."
Performing at New York's Madison Square Garden on July 26, Drake found a new "bra-derella" after another attendee threw a 46G bra on-stage. At the same venue, the artist had to dodge a barrage of bras while he was trying to give a heartfelt speech.
Another incident in New York saw the "Hotline Bling" rapper catch a bra, where he read the undergarment's label, saying, "36-L? ... How many letters does it go up to? What comes after? A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L?""
But during his second concert in Montreal on July 15, the rapper told fans he was "disappointed" with the lack of bras thrown at him on stage, joking that it made him feel like he was "having a bad show."
This past weekend, Drake put aside the jokes to share an intimate father-son moment with his fans on social media.
On Saturday, the artist posted a photo of himself working with his son's braided blond locks.
"Just because you put a guy in a tuxedo doesn't make him a good guy," Drake captioned that carousel of snaps, quoting former NBA player Allen Iverson.
