Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber make surprise appearance during Paris Fashion Week
Cindy Crawford, 56, and her 20-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber proved they're fashion's favourite mother-daughter duo during Paris Fashion Week.
On Monday, the pair appeared on the runway for Off-White's Womenswear Fall-Winter 2022-2023 collection, Spaceship Earth: An "Imaginary Experience," at the Palais Brongniart.
Crawford shared a video to Instagram of herself and Gerber surprising the audience by strutting the runway together.
"This one’s for Virgil," Crawford captioned the post, paying tribute to designer Virgil Abloh, who died in November 2021 at the age of 41 of cardiac angiosarcoma — a rare cancer.
The collection was completed by Abloh's team following his death and served as both the brand's ready-to-wear collection and its introduction into the world of couture.
Crawford modelled a tiered tulle skirt in dusty pink and a cropped black blazer, while Gerber wore a poof mini-skirt and white T-shirt paired with heeled sandals.
The footage of Crawford and Gerber's surprise appearance was met with praise from fans.
"What a fierce mother-daughter duo. I love seeing this," one Instagram user commented. "Cindy is passing the torch to her daughter and that's so damn cute to me."
"Once a top model, always a top model. You both look lovely," another added.
"Awesome mother-daughter model team!" echoed another.
"Two generations!" one follower exclaimed. "So beautiful."
"Flawless mother-daughter duo," someone else wrote.
"I love seeing stuff like this. Cindy is such an icon. She's actually one of the first supermodels that I ever learned about," they wrote. "And her baby is growing up to be just like her, following in her mama's footsteps. Love to see it. I hope she appreciates how her mom paved the way for her."
Crawford and Gerber weren't the only notable celebrities to make an appearance. They pair were joined by Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Serena Williams, Karlie Kloss, Naomi Campbell and Joan Smalls, who all walked the runway as well.
