Chrissy Teigen & John Legend Secretly Welcome Baby No. 4—and We Have a First Photo & Name
Surprise! Chrissy Teigen and her husband, John Legend, are officially parents to four children.
Today, the 37-year-old model shocked fans when she announced on social media that she and Legend have welcomed their fourth child via surrogate: a baby boy named Wren Alexander Stephens.
The post featured a letter that was written by Teigen, detailing Wren’s birth story. She explained that she’s always wanted four children, and after her tragic pregnancy loss, she enlisted the help of a surrogate. In addition, she and Legend decided to restart the IVF process, which brought them baby Esti earlier this year.
“Around this same time, we also met the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate we could ever imagine, Alexandra. I knew she was a perfect match for us the moment we spoke to her. All our wishes and dreams aligned. I wanted to be her friend, I wanted our children to play, I wanted dinner together, I wanted to lay my head on her belly and be able to feel the hiccups and kicks. I wanted them to be in our lives for as long as time would allow.”
After one failed transfer, Alex became pregnant with Wren. “As we crept toward the safe zone of my pregnancy, we were overjoyed to learn Alexandra had become pregnant with a little boy,” Teigen added. “Our little boy.”
She continued, “Just minutes before midnight on June 19th, I got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate, give birth amidst a bit of chaos, but with strength and pure joy and love.”
Teigen also shared a special shout-out to her late son, Jack. “Our hearts, and our home, are officially full,” she concluded. “And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you.”
Congratulations to the entire Teigen-Legend family.
