The CFDA Awards 2024: The 10 best dressed
Last night, the CFDA Awards took place in New York City, where the biggest and best designers and models in American fashion were honoured for their work. The occasion, of course, drew in some of the most famous faces in fashion, including Blake Lively, Lucy Liu, Kylie Jenner and Katie Holmes, as well as plenty more influential faces.
As would be expected for the high-fashion event, every guest pulled out all the stops.
Below, we round up our 10 favourite looks from the night, where stars embraced plenty of new-season catwalk collections with a number of them championing up-and-coming designers.

Blake Lively in Michael Kors
Blake Lively kept things pared back and neutral in an all-white Michael Kors look – and looked the best she has in years. The actress teamed a draped dress with an oversized blazer, lots of jewels and a great blowdry.
Kylie Jenner in Jean Paul Gaultier x Haider Ackermann
Kylie Jenner opted for a high-fashion look in the form of one of Haider Ackermann's designs for Jean Paul Gaultier. The black dress featured lots of texture and a dramatic spiky skirt.
Nara Smith in Ralph Lauren
Nara Smith made a case for the classics in her Ralph Lauren gown. The internet sensation wore a metallic design by the American designer with a racerback detail and a neat bun.
Nicole Richie
We love a leather moment on the red carpet, and Nicole Richie's backless black gown was one of our favourite looks of the night. She paired it with a slicked-back updo, pointy leather pumps and statement earrings.
Katie Holmes in Carolina Herrera
Katie Holmes embraced the colour-blocking trend with her Carolina Herrera gown, which featured an elegant black bow detail at the back.
Cynthia Erivo in Gap by Zac Posen
Cynthia Erivo wore more than one ensemble during the course of the evening but our favourite was the hooded Zac Posen design she chose with a dramatic fishtail silhouette.
Paloma Elsesser in Diotima
Paloma Elsesser chose a studded, low-cut gown by Diotima for the evening, teaming it with an updo and some metallic earrings.
Meghann Fahy in Michael Kors
Meghann Fahy wore a black corseted dress by Michael Kors with a dramatic belt. She added black accessories and a bold lip.
Lucy Liu in Bach Mai
Lucy Liu also kept things classic in black, but shunned a gown in favour of a tailored suit by Bach Mai.
Paige Desorbo in Off-White
Paige Desorbo wore one of the best looks of the night – a black Off-White gown with an exaggerated neckline.
