Kaia Gerber has traded in her stilettos for a pair of Uggs.
The 19-year-old model has traded in her designer threads in favour of the ultimate loungewear uniform: leggings and a pair of comfy Uggs.
Gerber was spotted in Los Angeles leaving an early morning workout class wearing a pair of the shearling lined Ultra Mini II Boots ($140 USD), a pair of Air Brush Leggings from celeb-approved brand, Alo Yoga and an oversized Aspen sweatshirt from Zizi Donohoe.
Ugg boots originated in the ‘70s a go-to for California beach bums has transcended surf culture to become a wardrobe staple for fall and winter fashions. The trend gained popularity in the ealry 2000s with nearly every Hollywood starlet and college co-ed owning at least one pair of the suede boots.
However, all fashion is cyclical; and during a time filled with unexpected twists and turns, the return of the Ugg boot was one trend we definitely didn’t see coming.
