The family of hockey star Carey Price is grieving.
On Thursday night, his wife Angela Price took to Instagram to share the loss of her father, who she said will be "deeply missed."
Price shared a photo from her and Carey's wedding in 2013, with the father and daughter embracing as he kisses her on the cheek.
She penned a vulnerable note to commemorate her dad, who passed on Wednesday.
"Words cannot express the immense love and gratitude I have for this amazing man. He provided me with the most wonderful childhood filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories," Price wrote in the caption.
"As I navigate this new chapter without him, I hold onto the lessons he taught me and the legacy he leaves behind. Forever grateful for the time we shared and the impact he made on my life."
Price added, "Rest in peace, Dad. You will be deeply missed, but your love will forever live on in my heart."
Her husband's team, the Montreal Canadiens, expressed their condolences in the comments.
"We're deeply sorry for your loss, Angela," the team's official account wrote, along with broken heart and dove emojis.
Canadiens alum Georges Laraque also chimed in to say, "My most sincere condolences."
A friend of Price, Samantha Phelan, echoed her dad will be "leaving a legacy indeed," in the comments.
"It's truly truly rare and special that just by knowing someone's child — who they are, what they believe in, what they cherish, how they love, and how they parent — that you can fathom even a fraction of how much love and guidance they received from those that came before them," Phelan wrote.
"I didn’t know your dad, but I simultaneously know so much about him through how you show up in this world... Sending so many hugs to all of you right now."
Many fellow hockey wives, fans and friends wished Price and her family strength.
"Sorry for your loss. Losing a Dad is incredibly hard and life altering. Sending your strength as you navigate this extremely difficult time," one person wrote.
