Canadian TV host Jessi Cruickshank gets candid about being alone with her kids in hilarious video
Jessi Cruickshank has her hands full.
On Sunday, the 39-year-old shared a glimpse of what it's like to be alone with her three children while her husband, Evan Gatica, is away for the weekend. The pair share twin boys, 5, and another son who they welcomed in 2021.
"My husband is away for the weekend so I'm alone with three kids, and you know what? Everything is fine," she says in an Instagram video before segueing to chaotic footage of her children pulling her hair, crying, putting a pot lid on her face, and more. While hilariously melting down, she repeats "It's fine," and "I'm fine."
"It's fine. Everything is fine," she doubled down in the caption.
The former MTV host's video was quickly met with uplifting messages from fans, praising her for being "real" and relatable.
"Thank you for being so real! I feel like sometimes moms want everyone to think we have it all together when we absolutely do not," one Instagram user wrote. "This is the reality of being a mom! It's a messy job and that should be normalized. We appreciate your transparency, Jessi! You're doing an amazing job."
"I don’t know how you’re doing it!" another added. "Just did four days with two under 3 years old and I’ve hit my breaking point!"
"So accurate, Jessi!" someone else commented.
"The bravest thing about this video is not that you are parenting three kids alone but that you are doing it in a white sweater," they wrote.
"You sure do have your hands full," another added.
One person chimed in: "My husband is gone for 2 weeks every month and we have 3 kids 6 and under. I often tell myself it's fine."
This isn't the first time that the "New Mom, Who Dis?" podcast host has gotten candid about how disorderly motherhood can be.
In April, the mom-of-three took to Instagram to share a photo of herself travelling with her 10-month-old baby, admitting that she would rather fly with a "feral cat."
"I’d rather fly with a feral cat than a 10-month-old baby. You?" she captioned the post.
Then just last month, Cruickshank shared a snap from a family vacation that wasn't exactly the relaxing getaway she signed up for.
"May need a vacation after this vacation," she quipped.
