Canadian TV host Chloe Wilde welcomes first child: 'New best friend'
The "ETalk" host said she's exhausted. but "in love" with her newborn baby.
Chloe Wilde is officially a mom.
The "ETalk" host took to Instagram on Monday to announce the birth of her first child, Grey Alexander Johnston, whom she shares with her longtime partner Ben Johnston.
The new mom, 35, shared a carousel of candid snaps from her hospital bed, capturing the precious moments following childbirth.
In her caption, Wilde introduced her baby, saying, "He is here! Please say hello to Grey Alexander Johnston, our new best friend and the coolest little dude."
"Everyone is doing great, definitely the most exhausted but also the most blissfully in love," she added. "BRB, off to go stare at him some more."
The heartwarming post flooded with congratulatory messages from fans, extending their warm wishes to Wilde and Johnston on their "beautiful next chapter."
"Hey buddy, welcome to the world," fellow Canadian TV host Sangita Patel commented.
"Congratulations to you and [Ben Johnston]. Welcome Grey!," wrote another Canadian TV reporter, Tanya Kim.
"Ah! Welcome to the world, Grey! Congrats to you and your little fam," one penned.
An Instagram user commented: "This is going to be a beautiful next chapter for you. Congratulations, queen!"
"You're going to be an amazing mom," a fan chimed in.
Over the weekend, prior to giving birth, Wilde shared an inspirational message with her Instagram followers about what she has learned throughout her pregnancy.
"I'm embracing and celebrating these last few moments of pregnancy before our lives change forever," Wilde wrote before listing the "things I’ve learned along the way."
"I will never look at my belly button the same," the Montreal-native shared. "Take the overwhelming advice that comes at you with a grain of salt, smile and nod through it all."
She quipped: "Google can be both exciting and terrifying."
"Boundaries are your best friend," Wilde continued. "I’ve also learned that while comfort is extremely important, I don’t want to give up my style. It is part of who I am and I worked long and hard to find out what that looks like for me."
