If you’re on the hunt for a set of headphones that are effective at noise-cancelling, but are not willing to spend hundreds of dollars for name brand devices, there are some great options available — and one of them is currently on sale for 15 per cent off on Amazon Canada.

What are they?

The Anker Soundcore Life P2 True Wireless Earbuds are ideal for working from home — a single charge offers seven full hours of listening, so you’ll never have to worry about being disconnected from video calls online.

Each earbud is equipped with two microphones that feature noise reduction and cVc 8.0 technology, which helps to cut down on background noise while enhancing speaking. You can also say goodbye to finicky pairing, since Push and Go technology automatically connects to the most recently-used device as soon as the earbuds are removed from their case.

Even if you aren’t planning on using these headphones for office use, their waterproof design and adjustable tips make them a great choice for working out.

'Best' earbuds under $100

One Amazon shopper called the Anker Soundcore earbuds a contender for "the best true wireless earbuds" under $100, adding that the only downside being that there's no magnet on the earbud case when it closes.

'I am impressed'

"I have to say, I am impressed,” one shopper wrote after using them for week. Although they said they've been using them mostly while working out on the treadmill, "the noise cancellation is great."

Since these headphones can be paired with a single ear at a time, some reviewers have noted that it can cause some connectivity issues when switching from one ear to two. Luckily this can easily be remedied by putting them on in the correct order.

"You get what you paid for," one shopper said of these "decent basic set" of earbuds. Although the Amazon shopper said they had to read instructions to how to pair them with their device, they noted that the earbuds had "better than average battery life."

The verdict

While sound aficionados may want to pass on these budget-friendly headphones, they’re a solid choice if you’re looking for a pair of true wireless earbuds. They may not offer top of the line sound quality (some reviewers knocked off points for lighter bass tones) but they certainly fit the bill for the average personal uses.

Whether you plan on using them for your commute, the gym or your home office, they offer good quality sound at an affordable price point, especially when they’re on sale for $43.
