Avril Lavigne stuns in oversized suit on Junos red carpet — then yells at topless protester
The "Complicated" singer took matters into her own hands when a topless protester interrupted her on stage.
Avril Lavigne certainly had an interesting Junos.
On Monday evening, the 38-year-old Canadian songstress attended the 52nd Juno Awards in Edmonton hosted by Marvel star Simu Liu.
She walked the CBC red carpet wearing a plunging, oversized blazer, a corset and oversized cargo pants.
She accessorized with silver necklaces, opted for her signature smokey eye makeup and wore her hair down with a middle part.
The pop-punk princess's look quickly garnered attention from fans on social media who swooned over the singer's "elevated sense of style."
"You can really tell how much she has elevated her sense of style this year. So beautiful!" an Instagram user penned.
"So in love with this look," another fan added.
One person commented, "The jacket is chef's kiss."
"I love this look! You look amazing," someone else chimed in.
The "Sk8r Boi" singer's outfit was not her only memorable moment of the night. She was later blindsided when a topless protestor from the audience joined her on the stage as she was about to introduce Punjabi-Canadian singer and rapper, AP Dhillon.
The unexpected audience member — who had "land back" painted on their arm — was shooed off of the stage and sworn at by Lavigne.
"Get the f— off," she said before security promptly escorted the woman off of the stage.

Liu later praised Lavigne for "handling that topless lady like a champion."
Not long after confronting the unexpected protestor, Lavigne won the final award of the evening, the TikTok Juno fan choice award. She poked fun at the audience, warning them not to "try anything."
"Now nobody try anything this time. I'll f— a b— up," she joked in her acceptance speech.
