Avril Lavigne made her return to the Grammys red carpet, and fans couldn't be happier to see the punk princess back in action.

The 37-year-old looked stunning for her first Grammys appearance in 19 years, dressed in a black high-low gown with tiers of cascading ruffles from House of Mua Mua. Lavigne finished the look with a custom belt that read "Love Sux," paying homage to her newest album.

Lavigne attended the Grammys with her boyfriend of one year, fellow musician Mod Sun, 34.

Sunday night's Grammys appearance marks the first time since 2003 that Lavigne has attended the awards show in person.

While attending the 45th Grammy Awards, the then-18-year-old turned heads by hitting the red carpet in her signature Converse sneakers, a bow tie, and an oversized tuxedo jacket with a hidden "Rock On" emblazoned on the inside.

Fans on Twitter couldn't get enough of the Canadian pop punk musician's "glow up" after 19 years, with some noting that the star "doesn't age."

"Avril Lavigne is literally perfect," tweeted one fan.

"Avril Lavigne is back at the Grammys and looks more beautiful than ever," wrote another. "The princess of punk is back."

Fans weren't the only ones looking back at how far Lavigne has come in the last two decades, as the "Sk8r Boi" songstress chatted about the song's 20th anniversary with E! News.

"This year is my 20th anniversary since my first album 'Let go.' Like, how gnarly is that?" she said. "I'm stoked. I'm happy to be here."

And when it came time to give advice to this years crop of new artists, Lavigne also had a few choice words to share: "If you're here, this is as big as it gets — it's kind of crazy. Have fun, be in the moment."
