Tips For Knocking This Fudge Out Of The Park
No leftover chocolate candy bars? No problem! Use 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips instead. You can also try with vanilla frosting and white chocolate chips for vanilla fudge. Learn how to make more fool-proof fudge here.
What’s the best type of chocolate to use? My favorite chocolate to use for this fudge is mini Hershey bars and mini Nestle Crunch Bars. It’s rich and decadent to combine milk and dark chocolate.
Use regular, not whipped frosting. Regular frosting is heavier than whipped, giving this fudge its classic dense and hearty texture. Whipped frosting will not be as thick and fudgy after setting. Here’s our trick for making canned frosting taste homemade.
Have fun getting creative with toppings. Some of our favorite toppings for this fudge are regular or mini M&M’s, Kit Kat bars, Reese’s Pieces bites, and mini pretzels, but you can use whatever you have in the candy bowl. The sky's the limit!
Store leftovers in the freezer as a future snack. This is a great make-ahead, long-lasting snack to have on deck for those future chocolate cravings. Cut the fudge into squares, place them in an airtight container or resealable bag, and store in the freezer for up to six months.
