It’s time to vote in our poll for The State’s high school volleyball Player of the Week from Midlands-area schools and matches from Oct. 14-19.

Voting ends Friday at 1 p.m., and the winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter/X page that afternoon.

Below are the nominees and the poll, and you can vote as many times as you like. (Remember that this poll is not scientific and meant to be just for fun.)

To nominate a player, coaches must email Lou Bezjak at lbezjak@thestate.com by Tuesdays at noon.

This week’s nominees

Addie Bowers, Mid-Carolina: In three matches last week, the senior middle hitter had 23 kills, 16 digs, eight blocks and 96.3 percent serving percentage.

Merryck Brackett, Dutch Fork: The senior setter had 14 kills, 13 digs, 13 assists and three aces in the Silver Foxes’ lone match against Irmo.

Jasia Brunson, Lexington: Senior outside hitter had 20 kills, 10 digs, five aces in the Wildcats’ region-clinching win over River Bluff.

Aryanna Connell, Camden: Senior middle hitter had 62 kills, five aces, seven blocks, 24 digs and three assists in five matches last week.

Camryn Jeffery, Westwood: The senior middle hitter and LSU commit had 35 kills, 31 digs, 36 good service receptions, nine blocks and six assists in the Redhawks’ two matches last week.

Maiti Martin, Pelion: The senior setter and right-side hitter had 18 kills, 18 assists and six aces in the Panthers’ two matches last week.

Rory Travis, Gilbert: The junior had 14 blocks (11 solo) and 15 kills in four matches last week.
