‘The U is home’: Miami Hurricanes flip West Broward’s Joshua Moore from Florida Gators

After a relatively quiet period on the recruiting trail, the Miami Hurricanes flipped a top local wide receiver from another in-state school.

Joshua Moore, a standout at West Broward, on Tuesday announced that he has flipped his oral commitment from the Florida Gators to the Hurricanes.

“Miami made, Miami bound,” Moore wrote in a post on his personal X account. “The U is home.”

Moore is a four-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite ranking, which also has him as the No. 17 overall receiver and No. 26 prospect in the state of Florida regardless of position for the Class of 2025.

The 6-4, 205-pound receiver had originally committed to UF on June 26.

This season, Moore leads West Broward with 32 catches, 510 receiving yards and five touchdowns through six games t help the Bobcats to a 4-2 record.

Moore is the second receiver in Miami’s Class of 2025, joining three-star prospect Daylyn Upshaw from Phenix City (Alabama) Central High. His commitment comes just a few days after Malachi Toney, who had reclassified to the 2025 class, had de-committed from the Hurricanes.
