Two-time Super Bowl champion calls Dallas Cowboys soft after loss to Detroit Lions

After the Dallas Cowboys suffered a 47-9 home loss to the Detroit Lions, ESPN analyst and two-time Super Bowl champion Damien Woody was on “Get Up,” and called the team soft and questioned line play on both sides of the ball.

The Cowboys allowed the Lions to run the ball 36 times for 186 yards with two touchdowns and struggled to tackle Detroit’s running backs. On offense, they struggled to create running lanes with the team rushing 17 times for 53 yards in the loss.

“Dallas Cowboys are soft and for me to use the word soft you’re basically attacking players’ manhood, on the field, and if you look at the way the Dallas Cowboys have played, I always say the game of football is very simple,” said Woody, “ If you can’t win in the trenches you have no shot at winning in the National Football League. Anyone, anyone go look at the film, just watch the game and just watch what goes on in the trenches with the Dallas Cowboys. They can’t move anybody up front on offense and on defense, the line of scrimmage is getting [moved] three and four yards backward.”

Despite their difficulties controlling the line of scrimmage team owner Jerry Jones said he isn’t ready to make drastic changes as the Cowboys head into their bye week.
