When will Isiah Pacheco return? Latest injury updates on Chiefs RB
The Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of an outstanding 2024 season, as the lone unbeaten team in the league heading into their "Monday Night Football" matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9.
The defending Super Bowl champions have been the standard and have done so without their top two wide receivers, Rashee Rice and Marquise "Hollywood" Brown.
They have also been without running back Isiah Pacheco, who has been out since injuring his leg in Week 2. After the injury, the Chiefs placed the running back on IR, and he has yet to return to action.
Last season, Pacheco led the Chiefs backfield with 205 carries for 935 yards and seven touchdowns.
Here's the latest on Isiah Pacheco's injury and potential return:
When will Isiah Pacheco return?
On Sunday, Nov. 3, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Pacheco is eying a return in late November.
The Chiefs have five games on the schedule in November. With the reported timeline, a return for Pacheco in Week 12 on the road against the Panthers on Nov. 24 or Week 13 at home against the Raiders on Nov. 29 (Black Friday) seems feasible, barring any setbacks.
Dr. Robert Anderson performed the procedure on Pacheco's fractured fibula on Sept. 18. According to Rapoport, there were no complications and no ligament issues during surgery. Pacheco's timeline to return was at least six weeks and as long as eight weeks following the surgery.
