Is Derek Carr to blame for Dennis Allen being fired midseason ... twice?
Look, I wouldn't blame Derek Carr for the New Orleans Saints' woes in 2024, and nor is it really Dennis Allen's fault.
There have been injury problems for the Saints, but there's also the fact that they've had a bloated salary cap for years that has meant they're unable to upgrade as much as they'd like.
But here's a weird fact for you: back in 2014, Allen was the head coach of the then-Oakland Raiders until he was fired midseason after the team started 0-4. The QB at the time? Carr.
Who's the QB of the Saints as Allen has gotten fired again in the middle of he season? Yep. People noticed:
