Chiefs’ Travis Kelce catches touchdown pass, sets a record against the Raiders

Travis Kelce found the end zone for the first time in 2024 season.

The Chiefs’ Travis Kelce had two reasons to celebrate National Tight Ends Day on Sunday in Las Vegas.

Kelce caught a touchdown pass during Sunday’s game against the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium and he set a record, too. Coming into the game, Kelce had 111 career receptions against the Raiders in his career.

In the first half, Kelce had seven receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. This was Kelce’s first TD reception of the 2024 season and he got it when the Chiefs were coming out of the two-minute warning.

Kelce also set a record against the Raiders franchise. As NBC Sports noted, no player has ever had more catches against the Raiders since they began play in the American Football League in 1960. That was the same year the Chiefs’ franchise was founded.

Here is the catch that set the record.
