  • Toyota Racing in the United States will be known as Toyota Gazoo Racing North America starting in 2025.

  • Gazoo Racing has been Toyota's global motorsports division for nearly a decade, and the name is now applied to its street-legal sports cars as well.

  • The TRD brand will continue to operate and appear on Toyota race cars in off-road racing and the NASCAR Truck Series.

Yesterday at the GR Garage in Mooresville, North Carolina, Toyota revealed the GR Corolla TC, a new race car based on the 300-hp hot hatchback that will add another step to the lower rungs of Toyota's motorsport ladder. At the same event, Toyota announced that its North American motorsports division, Toyota Racing, will formally adopt the name Toyota Gazoo Racing North America (TGRNA) starting with the 2025 racing season.

Gazoo Racing has been the Japanese automaker's official motorsports arm for nearly a decade. More recently, the moniker has begun to be attached to the brand's roadgoing performance cars, starting with the GR Yaris, which is not sold in the United States, before being attached to the Supra sports car and the GR Corolla. Now, all of Toyota's racing efforts, including in the United States, will be brought together under the Gazoo Racing banner.

TRD, which is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor North America, will continue to operate, providing technical and engineering support for Toyota's motorsports throughout the U.S. The Toyota Tundra race cars that run in the NASCAR Truck Series will continue to wear TRD Pro branding, and the TRD name will remain attached to the company's off-road racing program.

All of Toyota's other race cars, however, will receive Gazoo Racing branding. The 2025 season will begin for Toyota on January 24 with a GT4 race at Daytona International Speedway featuring the Supra before the NASCAR Cup Series Clash exhibition race at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
