Repo Man Shot Eight Times By Debtor

A repo man in Houston, Texas was shot eight times while he was taking a van for the bank. While the tragic event didn’t kill the man, miraculously, he is in the hospital and as you can imagine, is in serious condition.

A guy pulls his gun out on a repo man but immediately regrets that decision.

According to Benjamin Bolton’s mother, he was “ambushed” by the debtors. After he already had the van hooked up and was towing it away, they maneuvered a car in front of his vehicle. Then a second car pulled up next to this truck, someone inside opening fire on him.

Police told Bolton’s mom the suspects fired between 13 and 16 shots, eight of them hitting the tow truck driver. He has a long and painful road to recovery but likely will never have his full health back. All that for a van the debtors allegedly weren’t paying to keep.

Houston police detained three people at the scene, reports KHOU 11, but they were later released as investigators gather more evidence. That sounds a little odd that someone can gun down a repo man who’s apparently taking a vehicle legally yet not be sitting in a jail cell right after.

We’ve seen plenty of entitled people who have argued with and even fought repo men sent to their house to take a vehicle they failed to make payments for. But to actually shoot a tow truck driver because your ride was taken is beyond entitled.

Even though we’re car enthusiasts, we’re under no illusion that a vehicle, any single one, is worth more than a person’s life. Hopefully Bolton is able to live a full life after this attack and those who shot him are held responsible for their actions.
