Ram 2500 Power Wagon Concept Video Is So Very Bizarre

It’s no secret Stellantis, parent company of Ram, Jeep, and Dodge, is struggling and has been for some time. The symptoms of the problem are everywhere, from lagging sales and dealer lots overflowing with inventory to lackluster future products. And it apparently spills over into official videos for SEMA builds.
Hellcat driver runs from police and pays the price.
We’ve seen semi-amateur YouTubers put together more impressive videos than this one featuring a Mopar designer who looks like he’s late for his second shift at the diner, not presenting the Ram 2500 Power Wagon Concept for SEMA 2024.
Thankfully, not many people have seen this cringe-inducing presentation with just 57 views at the time of this article being written.
The build itself is okay if your buddy were showing you his new toy, but for an automaker’s SEMA booth it’s honestly underwhelming. Nothing about it is bad, there are some nice features, but there is no wow factor.
And the way this guy says everything in monotone, talking through what’s obviously a written script, just makes it even more boring. Was nobody in marketing involved in this project, or are people just getting it out the door to say it’s done?
It’s like Stellantis is just checking a box here, showing us a build because it has to. But Some locking storage pods, a sliding bed organizer, beadlock wheels, topical relief map graphics – these are just such bland mods they’re just not going to get anyone fantasizing.
Really, this is a nice microcosm of what’s going on with Stellantis these days. The international automaker is reheating leftovers and introducing weak new products nobody asked for, fully expecting everyone to shove wheelbarrows of cash at dealers. Instead, people are turning up their noses and walking away, and who can blame them?
Stellantis has become a rudderless ship at sea. How sad.
