The Fiat 500e is small, electric and starts a little under $35,000. It’s also more spacious than the old 500e and comes with significantly more range. Unfortunately for Fiat, there aren’t a lot of places in the U.S. where its small size is an advantage, so it’s a little surprising that Fiat decided to offer it stateside. Even if you have no interest in buying a little EV, how would you feel about leasing one for $19 a month and $0 down? Because that’s a real offer from a dealer in Colorado.

As someone who doesn’t need a 300-plus-mile range, used to own a 2015 Fiat 500e and may need to replace my Subaru in the next couple of weeks, the ad certainly caught my attention. $0 down and $19 a month is basically free, so even if it cost a good bit to ship it to Georgia, I certainly wouldn’t care. At least as long as it wasn’t a scam.

Digging a little deeper, it does appear to be legitimate, although, the fine print says it only applies to a single car with the VIN ZFAFFAA43RX216288. Once that car is gone, don’t expect to see the same deal offered on another one. Additionally, when I called, fully intending to make the deal today as long as they didn’t set off any alarm bell, the salesperson mentioned the other condition: You need a Colorado address.

Considering I live in Georgia, which is not Colorado, that means it’s a no-go for me. However, if you happen to live in Colorado, there’s no reason you couldn’t call and get the deal. Do you need a new 500e? Maybe not. For $19 a month, could you find a use for a 500e? I bet you could. You just want to get there quickly because unless there’s fine print within the fine print that I didn’t see, someone’s probably taking this car home before the end of the week.
