Former Green Bay Packer Eddie Lacy DUI Arrest Bodycam Footage Surfaces

Former Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy was arrested last month in Scottsdale, Arizona under suspicion of DUI, but the bodycam footage only recently surfaced. In it we see the moment officers approach the NFL star’s Audi as he struggles to explain his maneuvers on a road.

DeSean Jackson had his Dodge Hellcat stolen from his house in Los Angeles.

According to a TMZ Sports report, a woman had previously spotted the Audi driving erratically and called Scottsdale Police. When officers pulled Lacy over, they noted his speech was slurred and he mumbled a lot, which you can hear for yourself in the included video.

Lacy explained to police he had just arrived at the airport after making an appearance in Green Bay for a Packers game. When questioned about drinking, he claimed to have only consumed a single shot of tequila on the plane and nothing more.

However, an investigation concluded Lacy’s BAC was .325, which is over four times the legal limit in Arizona. We’ll leave it to the experts to debate whether that’s possible to achieve with a single shot of tequila, but we certainly have our doubts on that one.

Now Lacy is facing an Extreme DUI charge, which means someone has a BAC of .20 or more. We’re sure the man can afford good legal representation, so perhaps this will mean he does some community service and that’s it. Being able to hire the best attorneys because of a fat bank account after a successful NFL career certainly has its perks.

At least Lacy was overall compliant and non-combative during the traffic stop and his arrest. That’s better than what we’ve seen from some current NFL players recently. However, it’s troubling to see so many professional athletes getting on the wrong side of the law while driving lately, a trend we hope to see change.
