  • Meyer Shank Racing, which sat out the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Season, announced its 2025 IMSA GTP driver lineup this week.

  • The team's No. 60 Acura ARX-06 will be piloted by Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist. The team's No. 93 will include newcomers to the team Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly.

  • MSR will be racing next year with what is described as an "expanded Honda Racing Corporation USA presence."

Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian has announced its two-car driver lineup for its return to GTP racing in the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Meyer Shank, which sat out the 2024 season after a 2023 season that included wins at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona and the season-ending Petit Le Mans, will return with Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun in the No. 60 Acura ARX-06. Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly will drive the team's No. 93 Acura ARX-06.

Yelloly comes to MSR from BMW and Rahal Letterman Lanigan, while van der Zande is moving over from Cadillac's GTP program. Yelloly is a four-year veteran in the series who earned a win in 2023. Van der Zande was a two-time race winner this past season.

Blomqvist, who made five starts with Meyer Shank's IndyCar team this year, and Braun finished third in the 2023 GTP Drivers' Championship.

MSR will be racing next year with what is described as an "expanded Honda Racing Corporation USA presence."

"We’re really looking forward to getting back to work in IMSA and we’re excited to expand our relationship with HRC and Acura to run two GTPs next year," said team co-owner Mike Shank. "Putting Tom and Colin back in the driver’s seat just made sense. The two of them had an incredible season in ’23 and I think that’s just cracking the surface on what they can accomplish together.

"And then with the addition of Renger and Nick, they both have extensive prototype experience and have shown a lot of strength the last few seasons, so I think they will be a big asset to the team.”

The return of Meyer Shank Racing bring IMSA’s top category to a total of 11 full-season entries for 2025. Two additional teams are committed for the Michelin Endurance Cup events.

“I’m very excited about this new partnership with Meyer Shank Racing and HRC and for the four drivers we have, so far, brought on board the program," David Salters, HRC US president, said. "Colin, Nick, Renger and Tom all bring supreme skill to work with our engineers to develop the race car, plus a clear focus and big hearts to fight for victory in our electrified ARX-06.

"While racing at the highest level in prototype sports cars is a technical sport, more importantly it is a team sport. Colin, Nick, Renger and Tom are world-class racing drivers who will lead us forward as one team."
