  • The 2025 Ford Bronco lineup adds a special edition that's inspired by the Stroppe Baja Broncos from the 1960s and '70s.

  • The new Bronco Stroppe Edition is based on a two-door Wildtrak, but it has a distinctive tri-tone livery that resembles the old-school version.

  • Ford hasn't said how much the Stroppe Edition costs or how many it will build, but the limited-edition Bronco will be available in January.

The modern-day Ford Bronco thrives on nostalgia, with a retro design that's ripe for all sorts of special editions. Ford just recently revealed the colorful Bronco Free Wheeling package, and now it has announced another throwback option: the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition.

The Stroppe Edition is named after Bill Stroppe, who back in the 1960s and '70s was known for taking factory-built Broncos and preparing them to compete in sanctioned off-road races such as the Baja 1000 and NORRA Mexican 1000. Ford says that a Bronco built by Stroppe won the Baja 1000 in 1969, and it remains the only stock 4x4 to claim an outright win. There's no better way to commemorate that type of legacy than building a modern-day version, which Ford says it has been hinting at ever since the Bronco R returned to Baja in 2020.

There will be no missing the Bronco Stroppe Edition on the street, trails, or sand dunes. It features a color scheme that's similar to its old-school predecessors, only the three primary colors are now Atlas Blue, Oxford White, and Ford's special Code Orange paint. The latter's appearance marks the first time it has been used on a non-Raptor model. The front fenders and rear fenders also feature Stroppe badging as well as squared-off wheel arches. The white grille has "Bronco" script in Code Orange, and the hood and tailgate are matte black. A steel front bumper with—you guessed it—Code Orange tow hooks and a set of black 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels complete the look.

The Bronco Stroppe Edition is based on a two-door Wildtrak, which comes with a host of hardcore hardware. The list includes a disconnecting front anti-roll bar, 35-inch Goodyear Territory RT tires, and the HOSS 3.0 suspension with Fox internal-bypass dampers. The Stroppe Edition also has side steps with built-in rock rails. It's powered by a 330-hp 2.7-liter turbo four that pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.

Inside, the special-edition Bronco has a white dash panel with "Bronco" in Code Orange. That accent color is also found on other interior bits such as the G.O.A.T drive-mode selector, the grab handles, and stitching on parts of the dashboard and seats. There's also a "Stroppe Edition" badge on the center console in front of the cupholders.

While we don't know how much the 2025 Bronco Stroppe Edition will cost or how many examples will be built, Ford says it will be available starting in January.
