11/7/24: This story has been updated with pricing.
The sixth-generation Ford Bronco has been on the market since the 2021 model year, and while Ford isn't quite ready to give the Bronco a full refresh, it is introducing a host of upgrades for 2025 to keep the SUV competitive. Along with two new special editions, Ford is bringing back the base trim and adding more standard equipment.
The new base model starts at $39,890 with destination, lowering the price of entry for the Bronco by $1635 compared to the 2024 version.
The cabin sees the biggest updates, with the 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster that was previously found on the Raptor now becoming standard across the lineup. It replaces the prior setup that used an 8.0-inch screen and physical speedometer. The digital instrument display is paired with a 12.0-inch central touchscreen, which Ford made standard last year.
Ford added climate control vents on the center console for the rear passengers on four-door models, as well as extra interior lighting and more sound insulation thanks to an acoustic windshield. All Broncos equipped with the Sasquatch package will now come with 35-inch Goodyear Territory R/T tires, which Ford says are less noisy than the M/T tires from previous model years. There's also a new 12-speaker B&O sound system, replacing the old 10-speaker setup with a new subwoofer and higher-output amplifier.
The Bronco lineup is also being reconfigured. The base trim returns after a one-year break and can still be had with a manual transmission and the Sasquatch package. The Black Diamond trim will now be a package offered on the Big Bend model, while Ford is offering the colorful Free Wheeling package on four-door Big Bends. Ford also says the Wildtrak is gone, replaced by the previously announced Stroppe Edition. Three new colors join the palette: Marsh Gray, Desert Sand, and Ruby Red.
Ford has also now revealed a Black Appearance package. which adds black side-view mirrors, fender flares, door handles, and a black grille with "Bronco" written in white. There is also a black graphics package and the removable hard top is painted Shadow Black. When paired with the Sasquatch package, it includes gloss black aluminum wheels with a black beadlock ring.
Another new option is the factory-installed Matte Clear Film, which along with giving the paint a matte finish also serves as paint protection. The wrap will be offered on all two-door and four-door Broncos except for the Raptor trim, and it also cannot be applied to a Bronco with decals or the Stroppe Edition. Ford says deliveries of the 2025 Bronco will start this winter, most likely in early 2025.
