These 11 Taylor Swift-Themed Racing Helmets Are Heading to Auction
You might not be familiar with her current Eras Tour, but assuming you haven't been cryogenically frozen like Austin Powers for the last 20 years, odds are good you know
the name "Taylor Swift." This past Sunday marked Swift’s final U.S. leg on her insane 149-show world tour, a last leg that took place over three days in Indianapolis. In order to celebrate with her fans in the city, Bell Racing Helmets and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway teamed up with Swift's team to develop a run of 11 unique helmets inspired by the artist. You even have a chance to take one home... assuming you outspend the rest of her fans.
The special run of helmets have been on display at various Indianapolis hotels since Halloween, but will be removed from their respective venues by November 5. Each helmet features a bespoke design, drawing inspiration from various aspects of Taylor Swift’s massively impactful career. Hardcore fans will recognize that each helmet represents one of the artist's previous albums, and are named accordingly.
Each of the 11 helmets have been displayed with a QR code on its stand, which detail the story of various important women throughout the world of motorsports. Going around town to all of the helmet locations and correctly matching the helmet with a given era of association brought the opportunity to win prizes. And while that opportunity has passed, all of the helmets will be heading for auction starting November 4th and running until November 12.
All of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to Women in Motorsports North America, a community that is dedicated to fostering growth and education in the sport. You can find a link to the auction site provided here. The helmets aren't that expensive yet, but that's likely to change as the clock starts to wind down. Bell Racing has also produced a limited run of Swift-inspired merch of their own, which you can find at this link.
