WWE legends Kane and the Undertaker have teared up as the latter revealed to his long-time wrestling colleague that he was to be inducted into the 2021 Hall of Fame.

The Undertaker, aka Mark Calaway, informed Kane (aka Glenn Jacobs) of the honour as the pair appeared on WWE’s The Bump, with the Hall of Fame inductee tearing up upon hearing the news.

The pair enjoyed an on again, off again rivalry in the ring, memorably teaming up as the 'Brothers of Destruction' and winning three tag team championships.

“It is truly my honour to announce that you, Kane, will be the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, the class of 2021,” Undertaker said.

“Well deserved, much earned, and couldn’t be more proud of you, brother.”

Kane was in disbelief after the reveal, with his longtime partner and rival continuing to pump him up.

“I’m definitely serious. There’s no Hall of Fame without Kane. I can promise you that. You are the man," Undertaker said.

A visibly emotional Kane was taken aback by the announcement.

“That means a lot. Thank you very much," he said.

Kane will be one of four to be inducted in the 2021 Hall of Fame, including Molly Holly, Eric Bischoff and former heavyweight world champion, The Great Khali.

Soon after the reveal, Kane took to Twitter to thank fans and the WWE.

“Wow! This is the greatest honour that any @WWE superstar could hope for. Perfect that @undertaker delivered the news. THANK YOU!!” he wrote.

Fellow WWE legend Triple H took to Twitter to give a shoutout to both Kane and The Great Khali.

He said both had left an indelible mark on the WWE.

“I cannot overstate the character of the man behind the @KaneWWE mask and his impact on our industry. Congratulations to Glenn on his #WWEHOF induction," he wrote of Kane.

“An absolute attraction, The Great Khali brought a physical presence to the ring unlike any other.

“A proud representative of his country, he’s helped to usher in a new generation of Indian talent who will leave their mark on @WWE! Congratulations Khali!”
